By purchasing a ticket, volunteering at, or attending a Perth Pals event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Company Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Perth Pals Pty Ltd (ABN 87 688 035 681) organises social events and activities. By attending any Perth Pals event, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your participation is voluntary, and you assume full responsibility for all risks, including personal injury, illness, loss, theft, damage, or other incidents that may occur before, during, or after an event.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Perth Pals Pty Ltd, its directors, employees, volunteers, hosts, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, accident, illness, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience arising from your attendance.

  • You release, indemnify, and hold harmless Perth Pals Pty Ltd and its representatives from any and all claims, demands, actions, costs, or liabilities arising out of or connected with your participation (including negligence), except where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

  • You are responsible for assessing your own physical, mental, and medical suitability to attend or participate.

2. Events Involving Alcohol

For events where alcohol is served or consumed:

  • You must be 18 years or older.

  • You remain fully responsible for your alcohol consumption, behaviour, and safety.

  • Perth Pals is not responsible for any injury, incident, conduct, decision, or consequence arising from alcohol consumption during or after the event.

  • You agree to comply with all venue policies and Australian liquor laws.

3. Refunds & Ticket Policy

  • Refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the event.

  • Within 7 days of the event, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, except as required by Australian Consumer Law.

  • If an event is cancelled or significantly changed, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price only.

  • Perth Pals is not responsible for any additional expenses, including travel, transport, accommodation, or personal costs.

4. Photography & Media Consent

By attending, you consent to Perth Pals and approved volunteers, photographers, or videographers capturing photos and/or videos during the event.

You acknowledge that:

  • Perth Pals may use photos or videos for promotional and marketing purposes, including social media, websites, portfolios, and print/digital materials.

  • Approved volunteers or photographers may use images in their personal portfolios or to showcase their work, provided Perth Pals is represented positively.

  • If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, you must notify the organiser before or during the event. Perth Pals will take reasonable steps to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee complete exclusion from candid or group shots.

  • You waive all rights to royalties, compensation, or approval related to the use of such media.

5. Physical Activity & Health Acknowledgement

Some events may involve physical activity (including but not limited to Pilates, fitness classes, walks, hikes, padel, tennis, swimming or similar activities). By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • You are solely responsible for determining your physical and mental ability to safely engage in the activity.

  • You confirm you do not have any medical conditions, injuries, illnesses, or limitations that make participation unsafe.

  • Physical activities involve inherent risks including falls, injury, muscle strain, heat exhaustion, dehydration, and other health impacts.

  • You participate at your own risk.

  • Perth Pals Pty Ltd and its organisers, volunteers, instructors, and contractors are not liable for any injury, health impact, or loss arising from participation in physical activities.

6. Third-Party Providers & Venues

Many events are held at or facilitated by third-party venues, instructors, trainers, or service providers.

By attending, you acknowledge that:

  • Perth Pals is not responsible for the acts, omissions, services, advice, or negligence of any third-party provider.

  • Any issues relating to venue safety, food, drink, equipment, or instruction must be directed to the relevant provider.

  • You use third-party equipment, facilities, and services at your own risk.

  • Perth Pals is not liable for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from third-party facilities, staff, or equipment.

7. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Perth Pals does not guarantee that any food or beverages provided at events are free from allergens (including nuts, gluten, soy, dairy, or cross-contamination).

You acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for managing your own allergies and dietary needs.

  • Perth Pals is not liable for allergic reactions, illness, or discomfort resulting from food or drinks consumed at the event.

  • While you may notify the organiser of allergies, Perth Pals cannot guarantee that venues or caterers will meet all dietary requirements.

8. Personal Belongings

You are responsible for your own personal belongings.
Perth Pals is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged property before, during, or after an event.

9. Code of Conduct

Perth Pals is committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and safe community.

You agree that:

  • Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Perth Pals may remove any attendee — without refund — if their behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, illegal, or disruptive.

  • If you witness or experience behaviour that concerns you, please speak to the organiser or email hello@perthpals.com.

10. Event Changes, Postponement & Cancellations

Perth Pals reserves the right to:

  • Modify event details (venue, timing, activities, hosts, or format),

  • Cancel or postpone an event due to safety concerns, low ticket sales, illness, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control.

If an event is cancelled or postponed:

  • You will receive a full refund of the ticket price.

  • Perth Pals is not responsible for additional costs incurred by attendees.

11. Communication Consent

By purchasing a ticket or registering, you consent to receive emails related to your booking, including confirmations, reminders, updates, or post-event feedback.

You will only receive marketing communications if you explicitly opt in, and you may unsubscribe at any time.

12. No Duty of Care

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Perth Pals does not owe you a duty of care under common law in relation to your participation in events, activities, or social interactions.
You are responsible for your own decisions and safety at all times.

13. Acceptance of Terms

  • Confirm you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

  • Agree to follow all instructions provided by Perth Pals and venue staff.

  • Acknowledge that you participate at your own risk.
